We promise, we are not in our pajamas

Our instructors are fully dressed and ready to teach you SharePoint using an advanced eLearning tool and top of the line microphone equipment.  All you need is a web browser and the Adobe Flash Player.  Our online classes are packed with information and demos and every class session is recorded.  After each session, each day or after the class is over you can go back and review lectures, demos and Q&A sessions from class.

What to expect…

Our online course learning environment

This isn’t the same boring webcast you’ve experienced time and time again — this is interactive, cross-platform and as close as you can get to an actual classroom… breakout rooms, students sharing their screens, live voice and text chat… it’s an experience like no other. And all you need, aside from the software required for each specific course, is a browser capable of running Flash.

All students will receive access instructions for course login the week before class. Depending on your surrounding environment and workstation, you may benefit from using headphones and/or a microphone during class.

Our Learning Management System (LMS)

All course materials and session recordings will be made available to you through our Learning Management System, a private web site just for SharePoint Experts students and alumni. In addition to course materials, the LMS hosts additional resources such as code files, forums for current and past students, and news from the instructor.  As alum, you will have ongoing access to the LMS and you can continue to communicate with other students and the instructor!

When class isn’t in session, questions can be posted to the LMS Course Assistance forum, which is monitored by your instructor.  You can be assured that you’ll receive all the help and guidance you would expect in an in-person class, but without leaving your desk!

Class materials and prerequisites

Every student will be provided with a full-color electronic student workbook.  All lecture notes and lab instructions will be included. In order to access the online class, each student needs a working Internet connection, a web browser, and the free Adobe Flash Player installed on the computer. Each class information page lists what software should be installed on the workstation you will be using for lab work. No worries though, the software you will need is free, available as a trial or provided by us.

Each class has a different set of prerequisites and student workstation requirements.  Please see individual class information pages for more details.

Typical schedule

Each class is broken up into twice-daily sessions. The first session is three hours, followed by a two-hour break, and then class commences for another three hours.

Session One: 9:00AM – 12:00PM Central

Session Two: 2:00PM – 5:00PM Central

If you’re unable to join on time, or must leave early, remember that all sessions are recorded live, and are made available shortly after the session concludes.
