Student workstation requirements

  • Laptop hardware: Minimum 1GHz processor (and, boy, do we mean MINIMUM!), minimum 1GB RAM (2 or more GB HIGHLY recommended!), minimum 20GB free space after OS installation, DVD drive or USB 2.0 port for in-class file transfer
  • Software details (can be run in a VM): Windows Server 2003 Standard or higher, installed and patched with ALL the latest Windows Updates patches, Microsoft Office Word 2007 (trial available), Microsoft Office Excel 2007 (trial available), Acrobat Reader 7.0 or higher
  • Do not install SharePoint!  You'll do that in class!
  • We’ll distribute the MOSS 2007 Enterprise trial in the class, no need to bring it unless you want to!
