SharePoint Development Bootcamp (v3/2007)

"All .NET, all the time. Code warriors, this is your class."

One of the most intense classes you'll ever take, the SharePoint Development Bootcamp teaches developers how to write advanced web parts, modify SharePoint behaviors, and extend the platform to suit your needs.

This class, when offered as a public event, is now focused on Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007.  Private classes are available for v2/2003 as well as v3/2007.

Scheduled Instructor

Doug Ortiz (bio coming soon!) will be your fearless instructor for this Bootcamp experience.  He has worked with SharePoint Experts (and directly with Todd Baginski, the former instructor for this class) for several years, and is writing even more content for this course ahead of the September delivery.

Is this the right class/environment for me?

This class is unlike any other you've attended.  It's not dry, it's not boring.  Our trainers are irreverent and do their best to make your time in the classroom not only educational, but entertaining.  If you're looking for instructors in three-piece suits, or tweed blazers with suede elbow patches, this isn't the right class for you. We have contests with giveaways, riddles, and other fun diversions to help keep you energized throughout the day.

Modules Covered (subject to change based on class experience)

The list of modules is in our standard presentation order, but each class is a unique experience, and the presentation order may change on the fly based on the overall needs of the students.

Note: All demos in the class are done in C#.  However, many of the labs include code samples in both VB.NET and C#, and your instructor is well versed in both languages.

We reserve the right to add, remove and change material without notice.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of the following is suggested: IIS, XML/XSL, 2007 Microsoft Office system applications

What you'll take away

What we'll provide (public classes only)

We'll provide students breakfast and lunch each day of the event, as well as a fun collection of goodies.  We also give away big prizes depending on the size of the class.  These "grand prizes" have ranged from Xbox consoles to 42" plasma monitors.  You'll also get your requisite dog tags, indicating that you've joined the ranks of the proud, the elite, the Bootcamp Alumni.
